Happy New Year friends! How was your celebration (if you celebrated)?
New years eve was a great day for me. I woke up early to get a run in with my friend and former running buddy. It was such a great run. I signed up for a running Meetup group awhile back in hopes to meet new people, start running more regularly, etc. This weekend was literally the first weekend I could actually meetup with this group. Every weekend before has been filled with moving, holidays, races, and traveling. I asked my friend to go along with me and since she is getting back on the running train, she was all for it. We knew going into this we would be doing walk/run intervals because she is still recovering from surgery on her leg.
When we arrived the weather was perfect running weather. Sunny with a slight chill in the air. We arrived at the meetup spot and waited around for a little bit for everyone to arrive. We met some really nice people in this group. We started running and decided we would stay back with the walkers in the group since we were going to be doing a lot of starting/stopping. Those walkers are fast! We ended up losing them. I dont know how on earth that happened, but there was no catching up. It ended up being a great workout and I am so proud of my friend for being able to stick to doing the whole course. We did 2.53 miles and felt fantastic. Great way to end the year.
After buying a ton of food for our SMALL get together that night, Matt and I cleaned up and prepped for the party. It was fun, but can you believe I did NOT take a single picture? WHAT? That is so unlike me. We did have a great time. The night FINALLY ended at 3am. My body has literally shut down because of it.
New Years Day was spent with my family having our Christmas we missed last week.
Today, after sleeping for 13 hours (yeah I went to bed at 8pm), we laid low. And the funny part, neither of us were hung over. We have just been so busy the past few weeks, it was a needed break.
I was searching deep down inside to complete a run of some sort, but I think Matt got me sick. Great.

So one of my resolutions was to become more active in the running community both physically and socially. I have actually created a whole different blog from this one, but I am having a few issues with it and I am not ready to show everyone. I am torn between paying to self-host my site or to keep trucking in Blogger or Wordpress.
Once I start my new blog, I am debating whether or not to start a Twitter account. Is it all that it is cracked up to be?

How was your New Years?
Did hear there were 4 set of twins where one was born in the last minutes of 2011 and the first minutes of 2012? How cool.

twitter is just what it is....an account you can have it linked to your facebook and phone so it's a convenient social tool, but that's it. I'd get it if you want to network :) otherwise it doesn't matter.
I love blogger but now that I'm delving into wordpress and self-hosted I think one thing - blogger was FREE and pretty awesome. THIS IS expensive and annoying :P lol
Happy New Year! I sometimes forget to take pictures at parties/events. It just means you were having too much fun!
I also heard about the twins with different birthdays - pretty neat!
