Its the Most Wonderful Time of the year

Hi Friends!  This will probably be my last post until after Christmas.  We are heading down to Florida to visit Matt's parents for Christmas.  Its going to be a long drive, but I have already seen the amount of emails in my work inbox, so I will try to do some work on the way down there.  I personally hate long drives because I cant do anything to entertain myself.  I know so many people that can read, play video games, etc while they are in the car.  Not me.  I get that car sick feeling pretty easily if I am not careful.  So Ill probably check an email once every hour.

Before I share with you my new year plans/goals/resolutions, I figured we could take a walk down 2011 memory lane.  Shall we?

January: I started 2011 with Matt and my two best friends.  We celebrated low key and I was ok with that.  I signed up to run the Georgia Half Marathon with two of my colleagues.  Started training.  Atlanta was hit with a HUGE ice storm that shut the city down for 3 days.

February:  Signed up for the Kentucky Derby Half Marathon.  Had some amazing training runs during my weekend visits to Matt in Louisville.  Had the best Valentines Day with some great girls....and baked 33 cupcakes.  Was offered a job in Louisville.  Spent an amazing weekend with my best friend in Charleston

March: Had some more awesome training runs in Louisville during a move/visit weekend.  Moved to Louisville.  The next weekend ran the Georgia Half Marathon

April: Not a great month for me.  Hit some walls training for the Kentucky Derby Half.  Saw the most AMAZING fireworks show in the world.  Ran a subpar Kentucky Derby Half Marathon

May: Went to the Kentucky Derby.  Planted the seed in my head to start learning more about baking

June: Refinished my first piece of furniture

July: Friends came in for the 4th for the Taylor Swift concert...CANCELLED.  Celebrated my 27th birthday.  I was back in Atlanta for 3 weeks working HARD.  Got TWO KitchenAid mixers for my birthday.  Bought my new shoes.  Decided we had to move back to Atlanta for various financial reasons

August: Headed to NYC to meet Megan and run a 5k

September: Went to my first Louisville football game.  WORKED SO MUCH!!  Literally had a 100 hour week!

October:  Threw my dad a surprise 50th bday.  Decided I was going to run a marathon in 2012.  I hope I still have those thoughts.  Had to deal with a sick kitty :(

November: Stripped!  Moved back to Atlanta.  Unpacked.  Got a promotion!

December:  Ive spent a lot of this month ready to vomit because of the amount of stress from work.  Not because I cant do the work, but because there is A LOT to learn and I have to learn it quick.  Slowly getting over it.  Ran two 5ks

I know its a lot to read and a lot of links, but it was sort of fun to look back on this year.  I wont say it was the best year because there were a lot of hard times and stress this year, but we survived.

Next week I am going to share some of my 2012 goals.

Have a safe and Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah!  See you next week
